Diane Sawyer’s current position with ABC Prime Time Live is a culmination of a long career where she began as a weather reporter in a TV regional market to her continued progression to her current position.  In her current position she has both a national and international presence before her audience.  In her current position, as in previous positions, she still has to conduct the necessary background research on the topic under investigation or person being interviewed, she must be exhaustive in double checking all of her facts and verify that all sources used are reliable prior to making her presentation to her viewing audience each week.

Diane Sawyer is at the top ranking in her profession due to her formidable blend of intelligence, personal drive, and determination to continually excel.   To reach this level of excellence takes a tremendous level of effort.  It takes exhaustive research on the key issues of the subject matter, it takes perseverance to develop the right questions to ask on the subject matter, and relationship with the people who assist in doing the research.  A person must only present facts or information that can be verified with a trustworthy source. At last there must be a peer review with others to ensure all the facts are valid, verifiable and that the presentation is free from any personal bias as much as possible.
